Manifesto of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA)

Issued on the occasion of Revolutionary Day, 8th September 1928

Preamble

In the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and dignity of the Indian people, we, the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), on this day of 8th September 1928, recommit ourselves to the cause of revolution against imperialist domination and oppression. We solemnly resolve to wage a relentless struggle to achieve complete independence, not only from foreign rule but also from exploitation, inequality, and the degradation of human dignity. Today, we celebrate Revolutionary Day, marking the historic re-founding of the Hindustan Republican Army as the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association, and on the 9th of September, we honor our valiant **Freedom Fighters**, whose vision and sacrifices paved the way for our revolution.

1.The Struggle for Complete Independence

We declare that India's freedom cannot be partial or negotiated with the imperial powers. Independence is non-negotiable. The HSRA commits itself to a sustained and revolutionary war against British colonialism and its agents. Our goal is to dismantle the imperialist regime and replace it with a people's government that embodies the ideals of freedom, justice, and equality for all citizens.

2.Establishment of a Socialist Republic

Our movement is not merely anti-colonial; it is rooted in the firm belief that true freedom can only be realized in a socialist society where the means of production, wealth, and resources are controlled and owned by the working masses. We are dedicated to establishing a republic that ensures economic equality and social justice, where every individual, regardless of caste, creed, or gender, has equal opportunity and rights. This revolution is for the people and by the people, with the aim to eradicate poverty, unemployment, and exploitation.

3.A Revolution of the People

The HSRA recognizes that freedom cannot be won through the actions of a few. Our struggle is a mass movement, an uprising of workers, peasants, students, and youth, united under the banner of revolution. We reject the passive, conciliatory approaches of reformist leaders who seek to cooperate with the imperialists. We believe in direct action, in stirring the spirit of rebellion in the hearts of the people, and in inspiring them to take up arms in defense of their own freedom.

4.Sacrifice for the Nation

We honor and remember the heroes who have given their lives for the cause of freedom. Revolution is not a path of comfort—it is a path of sacrifice, suffering, and courage. On this Freedom Fighters Day (9th September), we salute the countless martyrs and patriots who have given their blood to awaken the soul of the nation. Their spirit of sacrifice lives on in every action we take, and their memory strengthens our resolve to continue the struggle until victory is achieved.

5.An Uncompromising Stand Against Imperialism

We categorically reject any form of negotiation or compromise with the British rulers. We demand immediate and complete independence for India. We reject dominion status, reforms under colonial control, or any other half-measures that keep our nation shackled to imperialism. Only complete and absolute freedom will suffice.

6.Unity Against the Enemy

We call upon all Indians—workers, peasants, students, intellectuals, and freedom-loving people—to unite in the common cause of liberation. Our strength lies in our unity, and we must rise above the divisive barriers of caste, religion, and region. Let us forge a united front to drive out the oppressors and build a new India—a nation of equality, justice, and opportunity for all.

7.The Spirit of Revolution

Revolution is not an event; it is a continuous process. The fire of rebellion burns within every oppressed soul, and it is this spirit that drives our movement. We call upon the youth of India to take up the mantle of revolution, to spread the message of resistance, and to prepare for the final struggle. Only through sustained revolutionary action can we overthrow the imperialists and their oppressive system.

8.Long Live the Revolution!

Today, on Revolutionary Day, we re-dedicate ourselves to the ideals of Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and other revolutionary leaders who have shown us the path to freedom. We vow to continue the struggle, to fight with unwavering determination, and to inspire the people of India to rise against the forces of tyranny.

Our fight is for  Total indipendent ,Total Democracy, socialism, and the establishment of a republic of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Inquilab Zindabad! Long Live the Revolution!
